Jessica attends La Cañada High School (a twenty-minute drive from Los Angeles, California) but has also lived in San Francisco, Singapore, Korea, and was born in Texas. In spite of her ongoing identity crisis, Jessica is glad that she has found a family editors and writers through Polyphony Lit. She is slightly obsessed with literary magazines and she still finds it surreal that she got to be an editor for one, but she is eager to learn from the amazing people here.

When she is not curled up with a book, scavenging through lit mags from, or writing some esoteric poems, Jessica spends her time drinking bubble tea, traveling, and playing a variety of instruments. She believes that she has the best of many music worlds, playing the violin, the tuba, and the piano (and the harmonica and recorder, if she must list). Quite contrary to her love for literature, Jessica fits into the image of an Asian math geek who loves wracking her brains for challenging Olympiad questions. Finally, Jessica has a visual impairment, but that doesn’t deter her from being an ambitious high school student and an avid learner.
