Hans Yang is a rising junior at Canyon Crest Academy in San Diego, California. His favorite work is Haruki Murakami's Kafka on the Shore. He has published two novels and is an incoming Iowa Young Writers Studio '22 writer. Philosophy (Fichte, Nietzsche) and meandering magical realist prose are some of his central fixations in literature. He is incredibly excited to review and enjoy the diverse works that Polyphony Lit receives, and to elevate his appreciation of literary art. Besides academic endeavors, he plays varsity tennis for the school team (recently county and Cali state champion), plays badminton, binges manga, and devours smoked salmon. If you see him around he's probably engrossed in an Ishiguro novel.
