The problem is that I really WANT to, but I just don't know if I can. I'd love to go into journalism, maybe, but with so many organizations laying off their staffs it just doesn't seem stable. I'm definitely planning on being a night-job writer, though 😂
Wow, multi-talented! I don't think I totally would have the chops to go into something other than writing or editing.... Although I do make a lot babysitting lol
@Megan Romero Omg, I've tutored before too-- mixed reactions from the kids lol. One gave me her Christmas list and another told me she thought I was 30... It's fun if you're a good teacher, but I'm not either 😂😂
I would love to pursue writing as a career; it's something I've always wanted to do. I definitely want to pursue creative writing in college! I'm also thinking about journalism, or maybe law...
I feel that writing and art stretch into so many other subjects. That's why so many people are interested in telling stories but don't feel it's their focus.
I love forensic science and hope to do criminal profiling or something FBI. And you know where my interest in this began? Reading Holmes stories and watching the movies/show.
I hope to be able to apply this to writing, having the criminal knowledge to help me build unique characters, and maybe create my own mystery stories.
Stories really can come off any career branch. Some writers can be closed off from anything but their journals, but I think every experience in one's life can only benefit what s/he may create one day.

I totally agree. The literary business is terrifying, but either way, I won't stop writing
@Lara Katz Same thing here. We'll figure it out somehow!
I'm not sure whether writing and editing will be a hobby or a career just yet, but it's definitely worth considering.
Good luck! What's great about writing is that it can go either way.
@Megan Romero ^^ So true! You can't exactly dabble in being a lawyer or a doctor, but you can always write as a hobby
I've been set on going into biology for a while now. I love writing and editing but I'm not sure about turning them into a career.

@Lara Katz That is one skill I don't have... I tutored kids for a little while and I'm pretty sure they all hated me!
