Diana D'Souza (17) is a senior at John P. Stevens High School in Edison, NJ and a First Reader for at Polyphony Lit. Her love of English probably stems from her parents; her mother is an English teacher and her father often writes for the Star Ledger. Ironically, she plans to major in Economics and Finance. Her twin brothers absolutely despise English.

 

Diana serves as the Opinions Editor of her school newspaper, The Hawkeye, and coordinates an annual walk in memory of her cousin Jayden, who suffered from Spinal Muscular Atrophy. You can most likely find her at the pool either giving swimming lessons or lifeguarding. She also is a sprint freestyler and backstroker on her high school swim team.

 

During the early morning hours when Diana is most alive, she stumbled across the Polyphony Lit Magazine and decided to apply. The magazine was a more creative outlet for her, especially because Diana is often penning Opinion articles. It is important to note that Diana hates ketchup, suffers from extreme trypophobia, and is proud to be half-Indian, half-Vietnamese. Her favorite shows include Orange is the New Black, Riverdale, Jane the Virgin, and various Korean dramas. She also loves cats.
