Yong-Yu is a culturally conflicted teenager who holds a Taiwanese passport, lives in Malaysia, and attends an international school at which she is a member of the class of 2022. She has mastered the art of saying goodbye, so she’s branching out by learning to say hello to new things and hanging on to old ones.
In middle school, a life-long love of reading metamorphosed into an avidity for writing which has only grown in high school. She is thrilled to be able to edit for Polyphony Lit as a First Reader and hopes to grow in her own writing through exposure to the masterpieces of others. Although much of her time is taken up by schoolwork and worried thoughts, Yong-Yu can often be found procrastinating flute practice, scrolling through history bowl packets, or playing Minecraft with her brother.
