Novel Writing

Over the course of 9 weeks (no class on July 4th), you’ll embark on your very own novel-length project! For the first 3 weeks, we’ll explore the mechanics of writing a novel–types of outlines, deeping character development, creating settings, and plotting out our novels. Over the remaining 5 weeks, students will write and share up to 3,000-word excerpts from their novel draft with their peers for in-class workshops. All levels are welcome, but please come to the class with a novel-length idea or outline to start!
