Editor-in-Chief of Voices

Anna Guzman is thrilled to be both Editor-in-Chief of Voices and a Genre Editor for Polyphony HS. She hopes her tenure as Editor-in-Chief proves her to be more of a Rory and less of a Paris, and she promises to work as hard as she can to make this blog the best that it can be! When Anna isn’t admiring the talent of her fellow bloggers, she can be found convincing her friends to listen to Hamilton, rereading Harry Potter for the umpteenth time, and impersonating a Downton Abbey-esque British accent.

At school, Anna secretly edits literally everything in her head, while competing on her school’s Science Olympiad team, solving cybersecurity threats on the Cyberpatriots team, and acting as a weekly peer tutor to freshmen. Additionally she just finished a research internship at UC Davis, and volunteers on weekends at her local science museum, where she is thrilled to teach children about science.

Anna hopes everyone can find some degree of comfort in the stories told on Voices. Since her first commentary at Polyphony in January of 2017, Anna has been constantly amazed by the talent, hard work, and wit of her fellow editors. She is beyond excited to showcase the inner workings of this amazing community through the blog posts on Voices.

Anna is a proud member of the Class of 2020 at Sheldon High School in Sacramento, California.
