EDITORIAL PRAISE
I [appreciate] how [the title introduces] both thematic and structural consistency to [the] work—the three stanzas visually resemble a triptych, while the religious connotations of a triptych are repeated throughout the poem with mentions of hymns, turning water to wine, churches, and steeples… These patterns [help the] piece feel collected and like its separate parts [belong] together. At the same time, each stanza reads distinct from the other, with varying images and ideas unique to each one… [Each panel is] its own work, yet also part of a whole.
