Vanessa is a high school junior from Vancouver, Canada. Her work has been recognized by The New York Times, the Alliance for Young Artists & Writers, and the League of Canadian Poets, amongst others. In her free time, she can be found belting out tunes at karaoke, buying smoked gouda, or fangirling over Ocean Vuong. She’s thrilled to attend the Iowa Young Writers’ Studio this summer and loves being part of the Polyphony community.
