Rishi Janakiraman is a freshman and poetry enthusiast currently attending Stanford Online High School. Though he resides in Raleigh, he spends the summers sojourning in his frayed copy of Plath's "Ariel," each stanza cradled by the copious annotations at the margins. With a background in neuroscience, Rishi is enamored by the philosophy of language: how we hold meaning in the permutations of scribbles, how we speak in a slanted truth, and how a mother tongue is lost at sea. In his free time, Rishi can be found working on a neurobiology project or re-listening to Fiona Apple's entire discography, for the umpteenth time.
