Ava Jekel is a high school senior from Texas who enjoys writing in the solitude of her bedroom every other evening, most likely. She is an alumna of the WITS Creative Writing Summer Camp at Rice University and in addition to Polyphony, she serves as an editor for The Trailblazer Review. Her work has been recognized by the Scholastic Writing Awards and One Teen Story. When she’s not at the keyboard, Ava enjoys attending her local martial arts dojo, where she holds a blue belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
