Jill Kolongowski is a nonfiction writer and English professor with experience as an editor across the spectrum--from academic journals to textbooks to poetry. She published her essay collection Life Lessons Harry Potter Taught Me in 2017, and is working on her second book. She regularly publishes creative nonfiction in literary journals like Brevity, the Los Angeles Review of Books, and River Teeth, and she received her MFA in Creative Nonfiction from St. Mary's College of California.

“Learning how to get your work out into the world can feel opaque and overwhelming. I love to work with and support my students on every step of the process-- from learning about creative nonfiction, to crafting a great story, to finding where to publish it or putting together a portfolio for creative writing programs. Everyone has a story to tell, and I'm honored to help you tell it.”
