Maggie Scheyer

Community Volunteer

Maggie Scheyer is a committed volunteer. She currently serves on the North Shore Country Day School board of trustees, the Women’s board of The Joffrey Ballet and the National Committee of the Friends of Art, Wellesley College. She has been actively involved in the writing and producing of the Joffrey Ballet’s 60th anniversary book Joffrey Ballet: Moving Beautifully and Beautifully Moving (2018). Maggie has a BA from Wellesley College and an MA in Art History (and ABD) from the University of Chicago where she focused on 20th century American art and architecture. While a student at UChicago, Maggie was a founding editor of the Chicago Art Journal. Maggie lives in the Chicago area with her husband and three literature-loving daughters.

 

Favorite book in high school: Maggie’s favorite book during high school remains her favorite today: "Anna Karenina never stops revealing truths about humanity.”
