Israel / Palestine Gallery Initiative
Reflect Empathy is a teen-led 501(c)(3) organization committed to teaching empathy to young leaders around the world. One of the principal elements of our approach is raising awareness about global crises through the power of words and art. Given the current, tragic Israel-Hamas war, our idea is to host an art gallery and auction with the works of artists from Israel, Palestine, and the US, with the idea of shedding light on the experiences of affected people. Due to the intense polarization evoked by this situation in communities, we want to create an experience with the intention of raising awareness, through art from diverse perspectives. We plan to rent out a gallery space in our local community, and utilize a virtual art gallery software to showcase work. We are looking for Israeli and Arab student artists interested in donating or creating a piece of art for us to showcase in our community.
