MEET INSTRUCTOR

Description

Relax into your creative talents and write your story through this all-levels writing course. Students will explore various poetic forms, respond to writing prompts, and engage in light meditation practices and breathing exercises to inspire original creative work. During the course, you will develop a writing practice based on grounding oneself in the body to hone mastery of your craft, as well as cultivate a writing community that encourages authentic self-expression while producing high quality works of art.

Objectives

  • Explore both your inner space and wider world of poetic reflection and expression

  • Participate in critical discussion and analyses of a variety of contemporary and classic poetry

  • Discover how self-reflection and creativity can feed each other to create something unique and special

  • Gain confidence in your vision through peer discussion and collaborative work

  • Receive detailed and constructive feedback from the Instructor on your writing

  • Gain confidence by sharing your work and exchanging useful feedback with other writers
